THE SCENE
Karan inspired the audience in talking about her foundation’s integrative therapy program, which trains caregivers in hospitals and other institutions to incorporate yoga, acupuncture, reiki and alternative treatments, as well as the importance of practicing philanthropy true to one’s values. She also highlighted Urban Zen’s cultivation of artisans in Haiti, which includes funding a brand-new vocational center in Port-au-Prince. Afterward, guests sipped wine while Karan assisted them in shopping for the perfect outfit and accessories from Urban Zen’s globally inspired collection. -Photos by Jordan Curet
