LONDON CALLING

Beautifully handcrafted bags have arrived in Aspen from across the pond. Métier, founded in the Mayfair section of London, has teamed up with pop-up shop The Art of Cozy. The exquisitely curated selection of leather bags and accessories is a welcome addition to the downtown shopping vibe. Favorites include the Private Eye bag, which is handforged into a marvel of structured softness concealing meticulously designed compartments. Another stunning bag is the Stowaway with a crossbody strap, which comes in smooth calfskin black, suede Marrakech, linen natural and smooth calfskin white sand. 411 E. ART OF SHOPPING

A last minute pop-up idea during our pandemic summer has become one of Aspen’s go-to shops this winter. Conceptualized by Jamie Tisch, AD100 designer Rodman Primack and his husband, Rudy Weissenberg, Pitkin Projects has become a smash hit. The team created a unique retail space for its daring blend of jewelry, art, fashion and furniture. Tisch called on friends like jewelry designer Lisa Eisner, artist David Wiseman, designer Brett Heyman of Edie Parker and others to contribute their craft. What’s next for the store? Tisch says they’re sticking around and will continue to showcase incredible artists—a seminal shop at the right moment in Aspen. 516 E. Hyman Ave., pitkinprojects.com

GOLDEN HOUR

Italian retailer Golden Goose recently opened its first flagship store in Aspen. The boutique will feature the brand’s most iconic sneakers, including Stardan, as well as the latest kicks from its creative team—we love new arrivals like the soft-leather high-tops Dreaming Slide, Super Star sneakers with glitter and Ball Star runners with a gold star and heel tab. Shoppers also will find handmade accessories, including luxe bags and leather wallets. 430 E. Hyman Ave., 970.452.2969, goldengoose.com
