Jason Burns, owner and event planner for Burns & Madsen, devotes his time and energy to orchestrating the perfect weddings for his clients. His wedding-day itinerary can be lively and bustling. Many might wonder, what's his secret? Here is a glimpse of how he gets it done.

5:30 AM
Burns starts the day with a morning meditation. He uses Aloha Bay Chakra Energy candles and Bose noise-canceling headphones to really focus and dig deep into his practice. His library of Oprah & Deepak’s 21-Day Meditation Experience comes in handy on days when guided meditation is the preferred technique.

7 AM
Following his shower regimen (Kérastase Résistance Bain Volumifique shampoo, Dr. Bronner’s eucalyptus bar soap, Tom’s of Maine tea tree deodorant, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue cologne and Olay Regenerist serum), Burns picks up an iced coffee at Local Coffee House on his way to the salon to check on the couple and their attendees. Hair and makeup for large weddings can begin as early as 8 a.m.

9 AM
After ensuring the couple and their parties are settled into their appointments, Burns heads off to King Yoga, where he finds more meditation before venturing into what can be a very chaotic day. He follows class with a nice big breakfast at Mawa’s Kitchen.
