A new kind of breakfast club

Friday clubs may be more synonymous with the afternoon, but the debut of the morning uphill breakfast club at Buttermilk Mountain is trying to change that—locally at least. That’s when ambitious exercisers and athletes who ascend the 1,800 vertical feet on foot, either by skins affixed to skis or with stabilizers, can treat themselves to a rewarding meal. Every Friday from Jan. 5 through April 6, morning goodies will be served at the Cliffhouse featuring breakfast fried rice with a farm egg or French toast with bacon. To make the meal healthier, opt for the oatmeal-and-yogurt station with fruit and superfood add-ons. And for those who prefer to howl at the moon instead of crow with the sun, Aspen Skiing Company will host its popular Full Moon Dinners Feb. 19 and March 20. 8:45-10am,
