Shaun White Hosts Launch Party to Kick off The Snow League in Aspen

There will be plenty of fanfare this week in Aspen to herald the launch of Shaun White’s The Snow League, the first professional winter sports league dedicated to snowboarding and freeskiing. On Thursday, March 6, ahead of the March 7-8 competition, The Snow Lodge will host a launch party dubbed the Sports Illustrated x The Snow League Experience with Cloonee Presented by Casamigos. Hosted by three-time Olympic gold medalist and Aspen magazine cover star Shaun White, the festivities kick off at 7 p.m.

The exclusive evening promises to bring together elite sports, luxury, and lifestyle. It will feature a signature Casamigos ice luge and top-tier cocktails from Casamingos, the tequila brand founded in 2013 by George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Michael Meldman. Renowned DJ Cloonee will headline the event. This not-to-be-missed event will kick off The Snow League’s highly anticipated debut weekend.
The Snow Lodge’s Supper Club and Jade Room, located inside the St. Regis Aspen Resort (315 E Dean St.), will host the event. General Admission tickets, starting at $300, are on sale now Tixr. For table inquiries, contact [email protected].
After retiring from competition, Shaun White is intent on supporting the next generation of snowboarders.
Founded by Olympic snowboarder and entrepreneur Shaun White, The Snow League’s (thesnowleague.com) debut season features a four-event global competition format. Aspen Snowmass’s Buttermilk Mountain will host the tour’s inaugural competition. The Snow League will have additional stops at top winter resorts worldwide. The first season will feature men’s and women’s snowboard halfpipe competitions at all four events. Freeskiing will be introduced during the league’s second event in late 2025 and included in all future events. Athletes compete to accumulate points based on their results from each event. At the end of the season, an overall winner will be crowned The Snow League World Champion.
