This Raspberry Pistachio Croissant Recipe Is Raising Money For Breast Cancer Research
By: Kat BeinBy: Kat Bein|October 10, 2022|Food & Drink,
According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, an estimated 287,500 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the U.S., as well as 51,400 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer—and that’s just for the year of 2022.
Suffice to say, this October’s breast cancer awareness month is more important than ever, because women (and yes, men too) need to know how important it is to receive regular breast tissue screenings as well as how they can support a human who is currently fighting back against this incredibly-common disease.
That doesn’t mean fighting back and raising awareness can’t be fun and joyful. Indeed, smiles and laughter are some of the best medicine in the face of such a trial—and deliciousness helps, too.
Toward that end, Pura Vida eateries in south Florida are offering an array of pink-hued snacks to mark October’s goals and raise funds for breast cancer research. Locals to the 305 can enjoy special, limited menu items including a raspberry pistachio croissant while donating to 305 Pink Pack who offer non-medical services including transportation, child care and housekeeping to those fighting the good fight against cancer.
If you’re not local to Miami, you can still donate to the organization online and get in on the deliciousness with the recipe for raspberry pistachio croissants below!
