Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., November 23, 2013 – Due to plentiful snowfall, both Snowmass and Aspen Mountain opened early today offering over 800 acres of skiing and riding across the two mountains. Mother Nature delivered four inches of fresh snow overnight just in time for Opening Day providing ideal conditions. Aspen Mountain opened early just for the weekend (Nov. 16-17) due the large amount of November snowfall in the area. Both Snowmass and Aspen Mountain are open daily for the rest of the season; the mountains were scheduled to open on Thanksgiving Day, November 28. Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk are scheduled to open on December 14. Photographed by Jesse Hoffman and Jeremy Swanson
