Featuring staples like acai bowls and smoothies, Brazilian-born Oakberry serves up healthy options for folks on the go. The brand is growing at a rapid pace, with the latest outpost in Aspen on Hyman Avenue right by the ski lift—a perfect location for speedy service on the way up the mountain. “Aspen is a go-to vacation spot for our clientele, as well as for our founders,” says Oakberry CEO Georgios Frangulis. “And it’s a natural fit for the brand because Colorado is a hub for sports and wellness.”
Each bowl features natural ingredients
Since its original franchise opening in 2017, the brand averages opening a new location every five days and now operates in 500 locations in more than 30 countries with the bulk of the units located in Brazil. “Our strategy is to expand the brand’s presence,” says Frangulis. “Acai consumption is still small for the market’s potential, and we visualize an enormous growth potential for the next years.”
Customers can mix and match ingredients to design their own bowl.
Oakberry relies on a fast food service model, offering three cup sizes and more than 15 toppings like bananas, granola, coconut, chia seed, organic honey and more.
