Aspen became even a little more beautiful this past week when Net-a-Porter, Mr Porter and Brunello Cucinelli made their way to town to celebrate the two brands’ decade-long partnership while showcasing the Italian label’s ski-ready Montagna Collection, stocked with a neutral palette of pieces that work both on and off the slopes.
Brunello Cucinelli’s Carolina Cucinelli and Alessio Piastrelli joined the President of Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter, Alison Loehnis, to host the few days in Aspen, gathering friends of the brand and VIPs, including models Kate Love and Emily Didonato; Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor; actors Morgan Spector, Meadow Walker and Laura Harrier; stylist Dex Robinson and several other tastemakers.
To kick off the trip, attendees got decked in the Montagna Collection before boarding a snowcat at Aspen Highlands Ski Resort for a private welcome dinner at the mid-mountain Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro. A half-hour, blustery ride later, guests walked into a cozy and intimate cabin atmosphere that set the mood for the next couple days of fun and exploration in the Rocky Mountains.
The second day brought more adventures when the gathered guests headed into the gorgeous Hunter Creek Valley for a guided snowshoe tour that took them through endless snowy fields and even to a historic cabin. The hike was followed by a picturesque outdoor picnic at Hallam Lake at the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, a local environmental science education nonprofit. Lunch was capped off with s’mores, a much-deserved treat at the end of a day of outdoor activity. The trip concluded that evening with a final party at the private second floor of the alpine-chic Casa Tua, where guests and Aspen locals mingled while enjoying specialty cocktails and the cacio e pepe the restaurant is known for. The next day it was time for everyone to bid the mountains goodbye, but not without plenty of Aspen memories to take with them.
