THE PARTY Nearly 200 of Aspen’s philanthropic leaders gathered at Belly Up for the 10th annual Bella Sera charity event late this summer, presented by Nancy and Richard Rogers. The sold-out event raised $330,000 for National Jewish Health, the leading respiratory hospital in the nation. Elaine and Marvin Rosenberg, along with Bob Sharpe, received the National Jewish Health Humanitarian Award and were recognized for their significant civic and charitable contributions. THE GUESTS Dr. Michael Salem, Nancy and Richard Rogers, Golda and Shelly Friedstein, Richard Goodman, Stuart Bernstein, Boogie Weinglass, Louise and David Gitlitz, Madeleine Larson, Barbara and Jerry Hines, Warren Lichtenstein, Yoly and Mark Davis, Linda and David Stein, Judi and Alan Altman, Barbara and Aaron Fleck, Clare Evert-Shane and Steven Shane, Lauren Rosen and David Chazen. THE HIGHLIGHTS Multiplatinum artist Michael Franti & Spearhead were the night’s entertainment. Franti had everyone out of their seats for the Caribbean-themed celebration. Audience members sang along to their hits “Say Hey (I Love You)” and “The Sound of Sunshine.” Emmy- and Grammy-winning musician Randy Newman also sent his congratulations to the night’s honorees via a video message.
