From Buttermilk Mountain to Anderson Ranch, there are plenty of diversions for the next 72 hours.
Summer 2021 has finally arrived, and what better way to kick it off than celebrating Memorial Day Weekend in Aspen. With a nearly perfect weather forecast, look for the reopening of the town’s tastiest alfresco dining spots and myriad ways to enjoy the outdoors.
Get Outside
Is there any better place to spend the day outdoors than our beautiful mountain town? Lucky for us, the folks at AspenSnowmass are upping their game and opening Buttermilk Mountain for the first time ever for summer activities. Ride the Summit Express lift to the top and enjoy some breathtaking views of Pyramid Peak, a delicious meal at the Cliffhouse, disc golf, hiking trails, and more. There’s certainly something for everyone. The new Buttermilk experience is the perfect way to get outside and enjoy the 70-degree weather.
Wine and Dine
Take advantage of Aspen’s numerous alfresco dining options this weekend. Nothing gets you in the mood for summer quite like sitting on a beautiful patio taking in the evening views with a glass of wine and some world-class cuisine. For unbeatable views of Aspen Mountain, head over to the Betula rooftop or Ajax Tavern patio. For an unbeatable French Dip Au Jus, snag a table outside at White House Tavern. For the perfect Memorial Day brunch menu, don’t miss Bear Den, and don’t pass on a mimosa… or two.
Experience Art
This weekend, make a reservation at the Aspen Art Museum to experience its current exhibitions featuring artists Cy Gavin, Jonathan Berger and Adam Stamp. For those with a predilection for sculpture art, head to Anderson Ranch and experience its incredible sculptures situated around the breathtaking campus.
