Vanderpump, with her husband, Ken Todd, and daughter, Pandora, made special appearances at two of the Grand Tastings along with a private party hosted at The Wild Fig to launch the rosé. The refreshing wine from Côtes de Provence, France, was the perfect pairing for the summer soiree—giving guests a glimpse into the life of Vanderpump. (Her favorite little furry friends were not in attendance.)
The wine conveys the sophisticated and opulent lifestyle synonymous with the Vanderpump name, as seen on the hit television show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dancing with the Stars and current spinoff, Vanderpump Rules. They’re no strangers to the restaurant world, either, as owners of The Shadow Lounge, Bar Soho, SUR, Pump and Villa Blanca. Boasting a pale, peach color, the rosé is a blend of cinsault, grenache and syrah with delicate hints of red currant, pepper and sweet citrus. The Vanderpump family grew fond of the rosé lifestyle after living in southern France for many years.
Celebrities coming to Aspen to debut their wines has become a trend recently—Zac Brown from Zac Brown Band showcased his cabernet sauvignon at Casa Tua over this year’s Food & Wine weekend and Drew Barrymore debuted her pinot grigio two years ago.
