Gray Malin's Dogs of Aspen series pays homage to Aspen's ski season.
With summer on the horizon, it’s time to stash away the skis and hang up your heaviest coats; and although the snow may be slipping through our fingers, fine art photographer and brand founder Gray Malin has curated a whimsical, vintage collection that brings ski season to life all year long. Malin says, “Dogs of Aspen is a continuation of my series collection of shooting dogs in iconic locations—dressed in vintage props and posed as if they were luxurious tourists in that destination.” He continues, “The concept for this project was pretty clear to me from the beginning—I wanted to re-create moments from my original Gray Malin in Aspen series in my favorite locations to produce a timeless series that included the unexpected addition of beloved dog breeds. I wanted this series to be an expansion of my love letter to Aspen that brings joy and a snowy escape to all. I am pleased with how truly spectacular the final aesthetic of the series turned out, with all of the vintage props and elements highlighting the stylized aspects of the photographs.”
