New Aspen boutique Four One Nine features curated collections.
Tapped to open their own clothing boutique in Aspen, Kelly Wyly O’Donovan and Kristin Yeary, best friends since childhood and business partners of over two decades, couldn’t resist the opportunity—despite already owning and running an Aspen business. “I am certain both our spouses thought we were nuts,” says O’Donovan, “but they know we love a challenge.”

Nestled in a cozy corner space on the Mill Street Mall, Four One Nine aims to offer discerning shoppers a well-curated collection of women’s clothing, shoes, accessories and “irresistible finds” in a charming but relaxed environment, says Yeary.
She and O’Donovan have been bringing unique and exclusive jewelry and art to Aspen for more than 20 years by way of their Elliott Yeary Gallery, which the two opened in 2000.
“We both share a passion for expressing ourselves through our fashion and accessory choices, and we adored the idea of helping other women do the same,” says O’Donovan. “Kristin is too modest to say so herself, but I can: Kristin has exquisite taste and an exceptional sense of style.”
Four One Nine, which opened its doors midsummer 2022, was previously home to Souchi, a brand of luxury handloomed knitwear created by their friend Suzi Johnson.
The three bonded through the years over a shared love of unique, handcrafted goods, as well as being female business owners in Aspen, says O’Donovan.
“We had discussed the idea of merging our two businesses over the years, mostly over breakfast and mimosas at The Hotel Jerome mornings before business hours. The logistics and timing never seemed to be the right thing at the right time. Maybe it was the mimosas,” O’Donovan quips. That is, until Johnson decided to relocate to the East Coast.
O’Donovan and Yeary still carry Souchi, alongside brands such as Forte Forte, Rachel Comey, Freda Salvador, The Odells, Amo Denim, Closed Denim and more. 205 S. Mill St., #231a, 419aspen.com
