Feasting for a Cause

| February 26, 2016 | Parties

Taste of Basalt—the must-attend autumn event in the Midvalley—took place at the Roaring Fork Club for its 20th annual fundraiser for the Basalt Education Foundation, a nonprofit that strives to remove any budgetary restraints so children can have the best education possible.

Supporters of Basalt public schools came out for an evening of fundraising, mingling and a great deal of eating. Culinary samplings were available from Midvalley restaurants like Downvalley Tavern, Heather’s, Bangkok Happy Bowl, Smoke Modern Barbeque, Riverside Grill and more. Cocktail tastings, provided by local company Woody Creek Distillers, and wine tastings, served by local distributors, were a great complement to the eclectic mix of food. DJ May Selby spun tunes late into the evening as guests took to the dance floor. The event raised $100,000 for Basalt public schools. Cheers! Photography by Jeremy Swanson
