THE PARTY Cha Cha Gallery highlighted its one year anniversary with a celebratory gathering to introduce three renowned artists to the space. Hosted by owner Charlotte Lena Souki and her husband, Charif Souki, the party boasted more than 150 guests. THE GUESTS Keira Chaplin (granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin), Cedric Gervais and Rony Seikaly, Marta Graeff, and Tony and Sandy Tamer THE HIGHLIGHTS Domingo Zapata is a prestigious Spanish-American artist who produces neo-expressionist paintings, as well as sculpture. He paints in both oil and acrylic, often incorporating mixed media, collage and graffiti. Local artist Samuel Prudden explores themes from the Mexican Revolution and Latin American culture in his oil paintings, while French artist Edouard Nahum is most famous for his jewelry, which has been worn by Madonna and Charlize Theron. The guests enjoyed vibrant disco music by DJ D'Amico and passed hors d'oeuvres and charcuterie plates as they took in the extraordinary art around them.
