The Roaring Fork Valley is a go-to destination for every type of vacation and even staycation. From ultimate relaxation to the experience-driven hotels, there is truly something for everyone. Here are the best hotels in Aspen and Snowmass no matter what your needs are!
This West End resort is located on the Aspen Institute campus. Herbert Bayer designed the resort in the Bauhaus style, respecting simplicity in form, function and design. Guests can enjoy a brand-new onsite culinary experience called West End Social. Design powerhouse Bentel & Bentel reimagined the former Plato's space bringing in more of a Herbert Bayer design thread in the dining room and lounge area, as well as to the resort's reception area. West End Social will offer shareable plates inspired by the Rocky Mountains from chef de cuisine Rachel Saxton, who most recently had been cheffing at Michelin-starred Bosq in Aspen. 845 Meadows Road, 970.925.4240
Hotel Jerome
The Hotel Jerome serves as more than just lodging; since its construction in 1889, it has served as the de facto town hall, a place to meet associates, see celebrities, and eat and drink at one of its top-notch restaurants. The iconic Aspen hot spot models historic preservation, and elegant gestures toward its historic Rocky Mountain history do not go unnoticed. Don’t miss the courtyard and pool area, and make a reservation at the brand-new underground Bad Harriet bar. 330 E. Main St., 970.920.1000
Limelight Snowmass
Opened in 2018, the Limelight Snowmass has put the buzz back in Base Village. Rooms are designed with the skier or hiker in mind (think optimal storage), and community spaces like the lobby lounge bring families together. Get this: The property is also home to the largest indoor climbing wall in Colorado. As for which room to request? One of 15 terrace rooms that each come with their own 130-square-foot balcony. 65 Wood Road, Snowmass, 855.318.2042
The Little Nell
Aspen’s only five-star, fivediamond hotel, The Little Nell offers an unparalleled experience. It’s home to Element 47, one of the best restaurants in town, the ever-popular Ajax Tavern and more. The hotel features a perfectly punctuated wine list, and a private tasting cellar hosted by one of its sommeliers is one of the countless onsite amenities. The adventure center serves as a ski concierge in winter and offers fly-fishing and off-road tours during the summer. The knowledgeable staff will point you toward the best outfitters if something can’t be booked directly. 675 E. Durant Ave., 970.920.4600
Mollie Aspen
Mollie, a brand-new 68-room boutique hotel, will open this winter at Main and Garmisch in Aspen. The hotel’s name pays homage to the historic Mollie Gibson mine, which produced lead, silver and zinc in the late 1800s. The moniker is also a nod to the Molly Gibson Lodge that had occupied the site since the 1960s. The hotel’s prime location on Paepcke Park is just a two-block walk from downtown Aspen’s restaurant row. In winter, skiers can utilize a new shuttle service stop from Mollie’s front door to all four mountains—and be delivered back in time for a happy hour martini or a soak with a view from the rooftop terrace. 111 S Garmisch St, Aspen
W Aspen and The Sky Residences at W Aspen
The new hotel and residences located slopeside on Aspen Mountain provide an exclusive ski-in, ski-out experience. The W Aspen offers 88 guest rooms and 11 W-branded fractional residences available for ownership or rental, upon availability. Affording an expansive view of Aspen Mountain, the 6,000-square foot rooftop bar and pool is an oasis for both locals and visitors. 550 S. Spring St., 970.400.1110
Viceroy Snowmass
The Viceroy sits at the base of Snowmass Village, offering guests ski-in, ski-out access to SkiCo.’s largest mountain. Its lauded restaurants, including Toro, attract visitors from around the valley. A range of room sizes—from studios to four bedrooms—means the hotel can accommodate a party of any size. A 7,000-square-foot spa includes Ute-, Nordic- and Asian-inspired ceremonies. 130 Wood Road, 970.923.8000
The St. Regis Aspen Resort
The property offers 179 luxurious rooms, making it the largest hotel in town. With that size, The St. Regis offers more amenities to guests than a traditional lodge. After a day on the slopes, Remède Spa offers just the revival you need. Guests enjoy dining at two on-site restaurants, while the lobby’s Mountain Social lounge is a lively place to enjoy cocktails and lighter fare. Your dog is more than welcome. 315 E. Dean St., 970.920.3300
The Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen Highlands
A full-service lodging option at Aspen Highlands, The Ritz-Carlton Club offers abundant amenities and close proximity to Aspen’s “local” mountain. Robert A.M. Stern, former dean of the Yale School of Architecture, designed the property to mix Western ambiance with the brand’s historic reputation for luxury. Rooms come with spacious primary baths, heated Italian marble floors, stone fireplaces and fully equipped kitchens. The Ritz-Carlton Club members can book rooms directly through the club, while others can look to local firms like Frias Properties to book their next stay. 0075 Prospector Road
