Ticket-holders for the Vogue Fendi holiday fashion show—a catwalk-worthy display of chic resort fashions featuring richly colored silks, fanciful patterns and delightfully feminine frocks from the Fendi resort 2013 collection—were treated to a spirited, standing-room-only party and runway show at the Baldwin Gallery on Dec. 22 in support of the Buddy Program’s community youth mentorship efforts. Buttressed by fellow presenter Vogue magazine, Fendi, a longtime corporate sponsor of the Buddy Program, returns to its role for 2013, which marks the grassroots organization’s 40th anniversary. “Because of Fendi’s generosity, we are able to support over 150 youth in our programs each year, nearly 25 percent of the youth enrolled in our mentoring [efforts],” says Executive Director David Houggy, adding that, so dedicated is the brand to Buddy, it funneled 20 percent of all Fendi Aspen sales Dec. 21-30 to the org. “They are a critical partner in our success!” Sounds like a runaway hit.
