ASPENX Mountain Club overlooks the Elk Mountain Range
Ride the gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain and a whole new, superexclusive, highly prestigious mountain dining, wining and hobnobbing experience awaits—if you have the cash and clout to be a member, that is. Unveiled in time for Aspen Snowmass’ 75th anniversary this year, and on the heels of Aspen Skiing Company’s launch of the new retail and experiential concept brand, the ASPENX Mountain Club takes the former Aspen Mountain Club to colorful new heights.
Paula Crown and Luis Bustamante led the redesign of interior spaces
While artist and entrepreneur Paula Crown is the lead influencer in the project, famed Spanish sculptor and designer Luis Bustamante of Luis Bustamante Interior Design can also be credited for the reimagining of the 4,400-square-foot space along with Aspen architecture and interior design firm Rowland+Broughton.
The new fireplace features bold colors
Inspired by Aspen’s natural climate and terrain, and with the concept of “art and its relationship to the space” top of mind, the redesign blends themes of classicism and modernism with complementing color schemes. With a particular emphasis on diverse textures and natural materials, such as renewably sourced oak and wool, the designer powered light, color and contrast to serve as a visual representation of the club’s energy while intentionally straying away from the traditionally rugged Aspen interior styling. Living, dining and bar areas are eye-poppers. As always, views of surrounding mountain peaks are stunning. 675 E. Durant Ave.
