Summer in Aspen’s mountain oasis is truly a magical time. Between the outdoors, lively social scene and consistently perfect weather there is plenty to put on the calendar. As a world-class destination, Aspen draws in visitors from all around the globe, making it a prime destination for events and festivals. From music and food to arts & culture, the celebrations are plentiful, and there is surely something for everyone. Get ready, because this summer has a highly anticipated lineup of summer festivals for any local or tourist to enjoy.
The Food & Wine Classic is a spectacular three-day culinary event that spotlights a combination of wine seminars, gourmet tastings and cooking demos. The festival draws in the most famous and talented names in the industry to celebrate and show off their expertise. On this years lineup, be on the lookout for Andrew Zimmerman, Claudette Zepeda, Alba Huerta, Anthony Giglio and many more. The 40th annual classic is scheduled to take place from June 16-18 and tickets are now on sale.
The Aspen Ideas Festival is a week-long event filled with discussions, panels and seminars from the world's intellectual leaders in science, politics, journalism, music, literature, research and more. The program was started in 2005 under the Aspen Institute with the goal of engaging an audience of inspired thinkers and initiating deep dialogue. The events will run from June 24-30. Passes, which run between $2,500 and $5000, tend to sell out quickly so register early to reserve your spot.
The Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day experience is a one-of-a-kind weekend for a music enthusiast. This year's exciting lineup will feature The Lumineers, Billy Idol and Foo Fighters as main headliners. If that wasn’t enticing enough, the festival provides delicious food stands, games, alcohol and a VIP section for a more exclusive experience. Tickets are on sale now for Labor Day Weekend 2022.
The Snowmass Rendezvous Craft Beer Festival returns for Summer 2023. This year, 50 plus breweries, wineries and distilleries will take over the Snowmass mall for a few days of celebration and fun. A Rendezvous ticket gives access to three event venues around Snowmass Village, complete with tastings, outdoor gear activations, games, competitions and even live music. The 2023 Summer Words Writer’s Conference & Literary Festival will take place this year from June 18-23. This six-day festival is known as one of the nations most recognized literary gatherings. It brings in top authors and renowned teachers for workshops, readings, seminars, panel discussions and more. In addition, participants can look forward to the annual Book Ball beneļ¬t dinner, held at the Viewline Resort, with a special guest author keynote speaker. Any person 18 years of age or older is welcome to apply for a spot in the Summer Words workshops, and publication is not a requirement.
