| December 30, 2014 | Parties

The Party
Basalt’s Wyly Community Art Center held its 10th annual benefit at the private Roaring Fork Club Sept. 21 to raise money for its visual arts programs.

The Players
Kelly Alford, Richard Carter, Linda Girvin, Karen and Bayard Hollins, Ingrid Magidson and Dee Wyly

The Scene
Amid a relaxed indoor-outdoor setting that perfectly suited the Wyly’s eclectic style, artists and patrons from around the Roaring Fork Valley celebrated a strong sense of creative kinship while enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres and lemongrass sage margaritas donated by Woody Creek Distillers. Visionary artist and Hollywood set designer Dick Carter, who also co-founded the Aspen Art Museum, was honored with the center’s inaugural Creative Force Award. –Photos by Cathy Miller
