Building on already stellar reputations, a trio of Aspen-Snowmass hotels have upped their hospitality quotient just in time for summer fun.
Walter Isaacson Center

Heritage Redefined
At The Aspen Institute in the West End of town, the newly named Walter Isaacson Center (845 Meadows Road), including restaurant Plato’s, has been completely re-envisioned and the building expanded via the new glass-enclosed Madeleine K. Albright Pavilion. Jeffrey Berkus Architects gave due respect to the original building, which was designed in 1955 by Bauhaus architect Herbert Bayer and Aspen architect Fritz Benedict, incorporating a modern aesthetic while preserving historical elements. Renamed in honor of the Institute’s long-standing leader and former president and CEO, the center is slated to open in early June.
