There are a few new tents in town thanks to two outfitters bringing glamping to the valley. Totem and Rich Valley Adventures are making sure you camp in style under the stars in comfort. Kit McLendon founded Rich Valley Adventures in 2012 in an effort to serve the community with first-class chauffeur services, luxury outdoor experiences and premier guiding for several types of adventures. RVA’s summer activity offerings include fly-fishing, biking, hiking, paddleboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and, of course, glamping. With a handful of custom canvas tents, each one is decorated in mountain-chic style adjacent to a small fishing pond. The views are stunning, and there is something to be said for the calming quiet out at the Old Snowmass campsite. McLendon and his team will oversee every detail including five-star meals, top-notch wines, cocktails and snacks.

Totem Glamping is the complete customizable experience. Founded by Aspen local Hart Houston, the Totem glamping experience is a mobile one. Let them choose your camping site for you, or have them set up shop in your backyard. The tents are decorated to perfection serving up a woodsy-chic aesthetic. The Totem team can accommodate occasions such as birthdays, weddings and complete personalized nights or weekends in the wilderness, with offerings like a personal chef, bespoke flower arrangements and experiences like horseback riding.
